Although staged properties do sell faster when priced right, and often sell for more in hot markets, some sellers are uncertain about whether to home stage. If you too are unsure, here are some questions I recommend you ask yourself.
Have you lived in your home less than 10 years?
Has your home undergone a series of upgrades?
Would you describe yourself as a clean freak?
Do you keep up with popular colour schemes?
Is your flooring in good condition?
Have you de-cluttered your home of excess belongings?
Is your taste fairly contemporary, despite your age?
If home repairs are needed, do you get to them right away?
Do you get compliments on your home often, even from trades people?
Do you like organizing your closets and other storage spaces?
You should consider a staging consultation before listing your property, if you answered NO to two or more of these statements.
